About Us

Who We Are

The Heart Angel Project is a non-profit charity with a team of trustees working on a voluntary basis. Everyone on the team has a connection with Béibhinn in some way, and are proud to work with the Heart Angel charity. You can read more about the team here.

Irene O'Connor

Irene set up “The Heart Angel” charity in honour of her beautiful daughter Béibhinn.

Irene graduated with a bachelor’s degree in marketing and business in 2001 and has worked with the European Erasmus plus programmes since September 2001.

Irene is passionate about working on the vision and values of the charity to promote kindness, love, compassion, and happiness just like her little girl did. Her wish is to help create a kinder place to live, one act of kindness at a time.

Irene loves to spend time with her family and friends and of course Béibhinn’s two babies, her adored and beloved Winston and Sooty, who are two completely spoilt cats.

Deborah Mc Glinchey

Deborah is a founding member of the Heart Angel Charity. She graduated with a bachelor’s degree in marketing and business and has 20 years experience in brand management, communications, event planning and project management roles in one of Irelands leading healthcare companies. This sets her in an excellent position as Media and Communications Manager for The Heart Angel charity.

Deborah’s main motivation for joining “The Heart Angel Charity “is her connection and love for Béibhinn. Deborah and Irene have been lifelong friends since their childhood. Deborah’s son Daragh was born seven weeks after Béibhinn, and the two families consider themselves family more than friends. She has a beautiful, busy, and crazy family life and she wouldn’t have it any other way.

Jane Manning O'Mahony

Jane Manning is a designer at O’ Mahony and O’ Donovan fitted furniture for the last twenty-six years. She graciously lent her talents and design skills to The Holy Well NS Carrigaline, formally St. Johns Girls NS where Jane was the brainchild behind the amazing Aistear room, the cool kitchen, and the chilled library where B loved to spend her Monday mornings during her school years. Jane also was a big part of the Parents association until her daughter graduated to move on to secondary school.

She is the most well-known lady in Carrigaline for her wonderful event planning and organisational skills. She runs the annual lady’s day every March and tickets are like gold dust with everyone marking it in their social calendar a year in advance.

The above talents however are not what Jane is most proud of. Jane considers her biggest achievement in life as the mum of her fabulous two kids Lucy and Jack.

Jane was asked to join the heart Angel charity by Irene, B’s mum as she knew she would be a wonderful asset and Irene was delighted when she accepted.
